Repeated Lives- behind the story
This was my very first published book and it belongs in the dark fantasy genre. At the time when I wrote this, I was a bit obsessed about going back in time and changing things in the past. I was also interested in the concept of reincarnation- okay, I still am.
But most importantly, I used to wonder if my life would have turned out differently had some events not occurred the way they had. Everything could have gone in a completely different direction and I would have been a different person. I kept thinking about this over and over in my head until I had a dream that pretty much explained to me that no matter how much I changed things, I was destined to live through particular experiences. I really did try in my dream to change things, but somehow the wheels turned in the very same direction I was trying to avoid.
Suffice to say, it gave me a new sense of perspective on everything and the ending of the story came from that experience.

Repeated lives book 2: talia's return- behind the story
I was never going to write a sequel to any of my stories. As far as I knew, Talia had gotten her (more or less) happy ending at the end of Repeated Lives. But after working on two more books, I took this upon as a challenge. The challenge was this- could I actually write a sequel considering how things ended in the first?
It wasn’t easy. I wrote this in 2010 while the first was written in almost four years ago. I had to go back and study the characters once again and learn why they had behaved the way they did. This one is darker than the first. Talia is the same girl, but due to one mistake and an impulsive decision, she’s sent back to live her life once again. Only this time, Talia’s life isn’t as balanced as before and she struggles with new changes.

Francesca and eliza- behind the story
I began writing this after I completed Repeated Lives and had another idea for a Dark Fantasy book. It started with the opening scene. That’s all I had at first and that was also what drew me in to work on it.
I think I must have written about half of it when I left it. I think I must have suffered writer’s block or was shifting to a new home. Anyway, I had lost somewhat interest in this and wasn’t planning to complete it.
It was around that time that my editor asked me if I was working on anything. I was fairly new at being a writer and didn’t want to admit that even though I was working on a few ideas, nothing had worked out so far. I remembered about this book and immediately responded that I was working on another manuscript.
I completed it quickly and the result was a huge mess. There was too much confusion regarding the plot and the characters were behaving off. Not to mention that as the creator of this story, I had absolutely no idea what was going on.
I put it away for a few days and decided to tell my editor that I had nothing more planned. A few days later however, I came upon an idea to clear away the plot holes. It was so easy! I read it again, edited it, deleted a few parts, added new scenes and was finally satisfied enough to send it for publishing.

awakened one night- behind the story
If I could be a little partial to my own works, I would say this is one of my favorite stories. As usual I began with the opening scene. This is how I start all my stories. If the start intrigues me, I’ll write it up or else I would dump it in the imaginary dustbin in my head.
The reason I love this story is because it kept me curious until the very end. It has a touch of mystery that I hadn’t attempted in my previous books. Also, the writing for this one went smoothly without any hiccups.
Another thing that I absolutely love about this book? The cover. My editor who is also an illustrator, did a fabulous job with this one. The design has just about the right air of mystery I wanted.

the ensnared- behind the story
Writing is quite challenging already and on top of everything it brings with it- namely persistence- I decided to one day, set a challenge to myself.
I’m a huge fan of the Horror genre. I grew up reading Goosebumps and the Fear Street and absolutely loved it. Then I moved on to the other classic Horror stories and from there on I started to enjoy watching Horror movies.
But actually attempting to write Horror, is another thing completely. So I challenged myself to take a break from Fantasy and try to write a Horror story. That wasn’t all however. The Promenade I take my walks in, had to feature in it.
In my opinion, it started off well. The story was written smoothly and as usual when I came towards the ending, I stumbled. Somehow I’ve always had trouble writing a plausible climax that would wrap up everything neatly. I did complete it for the sake of completing it, but didn’t like it. In fact, I considered it to be just passable but not something I wanted to send off to publishers. Only the best works in my opinion gets sent off.
I left it for quite a long time and then put it up on Wattpad and then my blog. It was while I was editing for this, that I realized that I had been too judgmental and had underestimated my prowess as a writer. It wasn’t as bad as I had imagined, although it required a little tweaking.
Once it was done and put up, I decided that I was still in two minds to send it off to be reviewed. Then a few days later, I came upon the Amazon KDP program. I think I started receiving the newsletters when I set up my account on Author Central. Anyway, I decided to try out self-publishing and see if it would be better for me than, well, regular publishing.
Designing the cover for this was a headache. I had just begun using Gimp, and was still practicing. Honestly, I never thought I needed to learn how to use it. I went through the net to learn new techniques but the result was less than satisfactory. I had a vision for it, but couldn’t get the right feel due to the limitations of my Gimp skills.
After changing the cover several times (I think it must be four), I finally decided on this one.

tina's gimmick- behind the story
This was my very first prepared and complete manuscript that I meant to send off to the publishers. However, I had just begun writing and wasn’t confident about it enough to do so. Eventually, I decided to leave it for some time, make necessary edits and only when I was absolutely satisfied with the result, I would send it off.
As time passed, I moved on to working on other projects and drafted my first young adult novel ‘Repeated Lives’. I received a contract for it and was finally confident about my writing. I began working on more projects and hate to admit this, but I forgot about this story.
It stayed in my computer for quite some time and it was completely by chance that I came across it again. I picked it up, read through it and realized that after a few more edits, I was finally ready to have it published.
This is my first manuscript that I had written in the first person and thought that perhaps I should try self-publishing it.

unraveling the darkness- behind the story
This is a collection of short stories and flashfiction I had written over the years. It also includes the first ever story I had written- The Challenge. This is a short horror story I had written when I was barely a teenager and one that I had so much fun writing that I decided to become a writer. This is the story that is very dear to me and also my favorite.
